Park, our program creates a full experience for any skill level.

Summit Base is located at Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation in the
Adirondack Park of New York State.

Fall & Spring
Climbing Weekends Join Summit Base for a weekend of rock climbing in Keene Valley, the epicenter of the High Peaks Region of the Adirondacks! Late September and early October.
Choose from several different treks: canoeing,
kayak, backpacking and rockclimbing, including caving. Adirondack Challenge, a unique program for older Scouts.

older, interested and experienced in facilitating
outdoor adventure recreation and education
to work full-time from June 13 through

Camp School (NCS) certified guides. Our COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal
Experience) and climbing programs are overseen by a NCS certified director. We take great pride
in our younger staff who have participated in our programs in the past and
who are now taking on leadership responsibilities.
